Community rules
The community is for people applying into finance and technology to help each other with the parts a page cannot cover. Six rules keep it worth reading.
1. Be useful
Answer from your own experience and say so. If you are not sure, say that too. A short reply that helps is worth more than a long one that performs.
2. No spam and no self-promotion
No links whose only purpose is to sell something, no repeated posts, and no touting for services. Sharing a guide or a filing that answers the question is welcome.
3. No harassment
Disagree with the idea, never the person. Abuse, pile-ons and discrimination are removed, and repeated cases lose posting rights.
4. Nothing confidential
Do not post anything under an NDA, internal documents, or interview questions a firm has asked you to keep confidential. Describe the shape of a process, not its secrets.
5. No personal data
Not yours and not anyone else’s. No CVs, phone numbers, email addresses or the names of interviewers. A CV review is a private service, not a post.
6. Moderators decide, and say why
Moderators may remove anything. When a post is hidden or removed, the author is told the reason.
How posting works
- Your first two questions and your first two replies are read by a moderator before others see them. After that you post freely.
- Any member can report a post. Three reports hide it until a moderator has looked.
- You can edit your own post for thirty minutes, and delete it at any time.
- Nothing here is a sales pitch. If a paid service answers the need a question states, it is mentioned once, after the useful part.
What is public
Your display name, your animal avatar and your posts, and nothing else. Your email address, CV, targets and applications are never shown to anyone. Deleting your account removes your display name and the words of every post. The privacy notice has the detail.
