Why this game exists

Most people who play a game like this trade more than they should and finish behind the stock they were trading. That is the point, and it is the same lesson the research on retail trading keeps finding: activity is a cost, and the days that make the return are the days you are most tempted to be out. Every chart here is real daily closing data, rebased to 100 so the price level gives nothing away.
